Couple

Each day, people experience accidents with differing consequences. Most will be left a bit shaken or with a minor injury - but some will not be so lucky. Furthermore, because of the unforeseen circumstances, they may not have made adequate financial provision for those they leave behind.

Saga's Accidental Death Benefit provides protection for your family to help lessen the financial impact should you die from an accident

Cover for £4 a month

If you were to die accidentally, your family could be left facing expensive funeral costs and an immediate loss of household income.

For a set premium of only £4 a month for each single policy, Saga Accidental Death Benefit will help provide financial support, with a £25,000 cash payment. Alternatively, a joint policy for you and your spouse or partner is also available at the same price of £4 a month, but the benefits will be halved to £12,500 should one of you die as a result of an accident.

If you are looking for maximum cover as a couple, you may prefer to take out two single policies, which would cover each person for £25,000.

Type of policy Monthly premium Payout
Single policy - self only £4 £25,000
Joint policy - self and partner £4 £12,500 for each policyholder who dies accidentally - max £25,000
Two separate policies - self and partner £8 £25,000 for each policyholder who dies accidentally - max £50,000

This is a monthly contract and 5% insurance premium tax is included where applicable.

  • Easy payment - As it is important that a policy of this nature does not lapse, we ask that the monthly premiums are paid directly from your Bank or Building Society account by Direct Debit.
  • No hidden catches - Saga aims to ensure that its insurance policies are straightforward. The only areas that we do not cover are detailed in the questions and answers section.
