Since its launch in May 2006, thousands of people have taken advantage of our service. The service provides a valuable insight into your overall health and can lead to the early detection of common health problems for people aged 50 and over.

Before taking the scan I had no symptoms whatsoever of any heart problems. I played golf, walked frequently, rode a bicycle and felt perfectly well. At 57 years of age I was feeling quite fit. The scan identified high levels of calcium in my cardiac arteries and the report recommended I sought the advice of a consultant cardiologist. I had an angiogram and then heart bypass surgery – all within five weeks or so of the scan. I am so grateful that I took the scan and feel that at the very least it avoided me having a heart attack, and at best, saved my life.

This is an excellent service as the NHS take so long to refer you for screening. I waited 18 months for a Dexa scan three years ago. It is such good value for peace of mind.

Enjoyable is not a word I would have expected to use about a Health Screening, but the whole experience was just that, partly because the actual screening was so relaxed and painless and partly because the results were for the most part positive. Subsequently I feel very positive because I know I have a clean bill of health with a few minor issues to keep a check on. The discounted price was affordable and represented good value for money.
