Heart Scan - For early signs of disease in the arteries supplying the heart
Heart disease is still the biggest killer in the UK. Advances in treatment have made a difference, but these are
more effective if disease is detected in its early stages. The heart scan detects and measures calcium in your
coronary arteries, indicating whether disease is present. It can spot calcium potentially years before standard
health screening or an Exercise ECG reveals it. This enables you to make valuable changes to your lifestyle,
such as stopping smoking, reducing your alcohol intake and adjusting your diet, before the situation becomes
more serious. Tests for cholesterol and a measurement of body mass index are also included.

Lung Scan - For early signs of lung cancer
Lung cancer is still one of the most common cancers in the UK, but is one where early detection can make a
significant difference to the outcome. If you smoke (especially more than 10 cigarettes a day), you may wish
to consider a lung scan. This scan is six times more accurate than a traditional chest
X-ray in determining the early signs of lung cancer. It also helps with the detection of other pulmonary
abnormalities, such as emphysema, not seen with other tests.

Virtual Colonoscopy - For early signs of colon cancer (cancer of the large bowel)
As the most advanced method of detecting the early signs of colon cancer, this scan is a reassuring alternative
to an invasive investigation. Virtual colonoscopy is now recognised as being as sensitive as conventional
colonoscopy for the detection of polyps measuring over 10mm (about the size of a pea). With early detection and
treatment, survival rates can be increased from 35% to 90%.

Mole Analysis - For early signs of skin cancer
Lots of people have moles that are completely harmless. However, around 65,000 new cases of skin cancers associated
with moles are recorded each year in the UK. This screening offers a unique technology that checks not only the
surface of the mole but also under to a depth of 2mm, which can often avoid unnecessary biopsies of harmless moles.
