Q. Why do I need Saga's Accidental Death Benefit?
Saga's Accidental Death Benefit is designed to provide peace of mind for you and your beneficiaries by guaranteeing a £25,000 payment should you die as the result of an accident. It is simple to set up and operate and, if your estate is worth less than the current inheritance tax threshold, proceeds are free from tax.

Q. Am I covered by Saga's Accidental Death Benefit wherever I go and whatever I do?
A: Saga's Accidental Death Benefit offers worldwide cover. Unlike other plans, we offer cover against accidental death arising from most sports and pastimes. Deaths not covered by this policy are those resulting from natural causes or relating to war, armed forces activity, flying (other than as a passenger in a licensed passenger aircraft), or intentional self-inflicted injury.

Q. I can see the benefits of Saga's Accidental Death Benefit, but isn't it a fuss and bother to join?
A. Not at all. You won't have to undergo a medical and there are no awkward health questions. Simply call 0800 096 4560 with no obligation.

Q Why do I have to pay by Direct Debit?
As it is important that a policy of this nature does not lapse, we ask that monthly premiums are paid direct from a bank or building society account by Direct Debit. That way you can rest assured that Saga's Accidental Death Benefit Insurance gives you the continuous cover you need. You can cancel your policy at any time by sending written instructions to your bank or building society.

Q For how long will I be covered?
Assuming you keep up the policy, the insurance and benefits will cover you right up to the first monthly renewal date following your 90th birthday.

Q Can I also be covered for accidental injury?
Not on this policy, however we do offer Saga Personal Accident Insurance, which pays out up to £50,000 following accidental injury and accidental disablement, including fractures, dislocations and burns. There are two levels of cover starting from £5.50 per month for the Premier cover for one person. The Premier Plus cover includes hospital benefit up to £2,500 (£25 per day for up to 100 days) and also includes Accidental Death Benefit of £25,000. Cover for two people is available, and there are no age increases. For a no obligation quote for Saga Personal Accident insurance, please call 0800 015 0251, quoting ref ITPA.
