Alphabet L Lindsey Bareham on how to stop your bananas ripening too quickly

Q: I live a long way from a supermarket and buy fruit to last the week, but some bananas end up in the bin because they ripen so quickly. Any suggestions?

A: Lakeland’s banana fridge bag will do the trick. This insulated ‘duvet’ stops bananas over-ripening and keeps the skin warm enough to prevent it blackening. Just remember to take the bananas out an hour before you want to eat them. Ref 12159, www.lakeland.co.uk or ring 015394 88100.
