Days out with the RHS

20 August 2015

If you’re looking for great days out this summer, autumn and all year round, look no further. With RHS membership you’ll enjoy free, unlimited access to our four RHS Gardens with a family guest. You’ll also enjoy hundreds of events at RHS Gardens and free access to 150 RHS Partner Gardens.

Here are some of the fantastic events which are taking place at RHS Gardens this summer and autumn – all free for RHS members!

RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey

As the RHS’ flagship garden, RHS Garden Wisley has so much to offer. This September all members can visit the annual RHS Wisley Flower Show (8-13 September) for free. Opened by RHS ambassador Mary Berry, this six-day floral extravaganza features more than 60 nurseries and trade stands, the National Dahlia Society Show, floral displays by Surrey NAFAS, expert advice and much more.

Also in September, they’ll be hosting the Surrey Sculpture Trail (22 August – 27 September), displaying 60 inspirational sculptures by some of the South East’s finest, established and emerging artists.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex

Come along to the Contemporary Craft and Design Fair (28-31 August). Showcasing more than 100 of the best contemporary craft makers and artists in the UK, this event gives you the chance to view and purchase direct from talented designers with a real passion for their work.

At the Essex Plant Heritage Autumn Fair (19-20 September), a wide variety of local nurseries will be selling flowers and plants to suit all tastes and gardens. There will also be a small sample of local craftspeople selling jewellery, silverware and other homemade products.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Harrogate, Yorkshire

If you are looking for great inspiration for your garden at home, come along to the Autumn Plant Fair (6 September) where specialist nurseries will be at Harlow Carr selling a range of plants.

RHS Garden Rosemoor, Devon

If drink’s your thing, visit the Real Ale Cider Weekend (25-27 September), featuring a range of real ales and cider from near and far, along with ‘meet the brewer’ sessions, food and live music.

You can also join us as all four RHS Gardens celebrate the 150th anniversary of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with a summer of family fun, late July – 31st August.
