Where to find the best vegetarian food In London

Jenai Laignel / 26 November 2014

Veggies will be in their element when visiting the capital, as London has some of the best vegetarian fare in the country.

Offering a range of cuisines – from British and European to Indian and Mexican – there are so many options to choose from.

To help you decide, here are four of the best:

Rasa

Rasa opened its doors nearly 15 years ago, serving up veggie dishes from Kerala to break the ubiquitous high street 'curry house' mould.

If you're looking for innovative and unusual plates of food, head here; with its hot-pink exterior (and interior!), you won't miss it.

Mildreds

Possibly the coolest vegetarian eatery in London, Mildreds has been serving veggie grub to the people of Soho for over 25 years.

With Asian and Middle Eastern influences, dishes such as gyoza dumplings with a mirin and soy sauce are a far cry from a factory-made veggie bean burger.

Manna

If you want to push the boat out, visit Manna in Primrose Hill. Although main courses start at around £14, this is not your usual veggie food.

They serve up imaginative takes on meat dishes, such as bangers (pumpkin and fennel sausages) and mash with mushroom ragu. Their wine list is also vegan and organic.

Vanilla Black

Looking for food to wow the senses? Vanilla Black attracts even the most die-hard carnivore.

Start with yellow pea soup with Marmite dumplings and finish with Brie (yes, the cheese) ice cream. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.
