International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival

A magical world of colourful costumes and topsy-turvy plots

Like Marmite, you either love or hate Gilbert and Sullivan. But every year devotees from all over the world flock to the festival of these very British comic operettas, mixing waspish satirical lyrics with gorgeous melodies.

Nightly operas, dozens of daytime fringe activities, and a dozen or more amateur troupes, competing for the International Champions title.
