Green tea and avocado metabolising smoothie

A green tea, avocado and chilli smoothie to help burn calories faster.



Green tea and chilli have both been shown to raise the speed slightly at which we burn calories. 

The capsaicin in chillies also seems to trigger endorphins, helping to give us a feelgood factor. 

Spinach provides vitamin C (useful for our immune systems), while avocado contains natural cholesterol-lowering supernutrients.

How to make

  • 150ml (5fl oz) green tea, brewed and chilled in the fridge
  • 1 handful baby spinach
  • 1 small, ripe avocado, peeled and stoned
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • Pinch red chilli, very finely chopped

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth.
