Whether it's for relaxing, partying or working we Brits do love our sheds, and creative and crafty people from across the country show off their wonderfully eccentric and inventive sheds.
This summer sees the return of Channel 4’s Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year, where members of the public will be competing for the prestigious title of Shed of the Year 2016, £1,000 and a giant crown for their winning shed.
It’s down to the public to vote for their favourite from each category (Pub & Entertainment, Eco, Workshop & Studio, Unexpected, Cabin & Summerhouse, Unique, Historical and Budget). The winners of each category will then compete for overall Shed of the Year 2016, with the winner announced in the finale episode of Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year. Voting is open until June 8, find out more at www.readersheds.co.uk
Last year the award went to Walter Micklethwait in Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands for his renovated hen house that he turned into a saloon-themed party venue with its own gin distillery.
