Get your MPs to sign 969
Saga suggests that the best way to support the campaign in the wake of the successful court ruling is to urge MPs to add their support
We ask you to get in touch with your MP to make sure he or she is aware of the relevant House of Commons petitions relating to the pensions campaign - known as Early Day Motions or EDMs.
EDMs numbers 106, 241, 749 and 969 are the petitions by which Pensions Action Group campaigners are hoping have been working to gain all-party support for those who have lost all or part of their pensions.
The most recent and the most important one for MPS to sign now is 969. In the wake of the successful Judicial Review, so definitively won by four of our members in February, this Motion signals clearly to government that MPs will not tolerate anything less than a fair proposal for compensation.
Andrew Parr, a leading voice among those 125,000 suffering pensioners, says EDMs can have real impact when a significant number of MPs demonstrate their support for an idea.
He said: "I urge anyone who is concerned about this injustice to contact their MPs and ask them to sign any of the Early Day Motions, particularly EDM number 969.
"Number 969 is a truly cross-party petition and there should be no reason not to sign. If they haven't signed it yet, you should ask them why not."
Mr Parr added that the PAG would be contacting all MPs who added their names to the other EDMs.
"We are aiming at 400 signatures, building up to 500." says Andrew Parr. "Then the Government will really have to take notice."
