A good value digital radio for rock fans
Digital radios come in all shapes and sizes but few are as cool as Pure Digital's Special Edition Evoke-1 XT
The company has teamed up with iconic amplifier manufacturers Marshall to create a trendy DAB device which rock music fans are sure to pick up in a flash.
Its features include a timer, an alarm, six presets and a screen showing station information and text attached to DAB broadcasts.
As you will have noticed, this wonderful bit of kit is a miniature replica of a Marshall amp, with a red-on-black LCD screen.
And, in true Spinal Tap style, the volume goes up to eleven.
For its stature, sound quality is good. A bass port on the bottom adds extra thump and the 3in speaker suffers no vibration in its rich tone.
This special edition DAB radio is £10 more than its predecessor, the Evoke-1XT, retailing at £100 - but it is well worth it for the looks.
