Body Worlds is the name given to the controversial travelling exhibition of preserved human bodies and their various parts – and its Mirror of Time exhibition is now showing at London's 02. When it comes to summer days out, you can explore much further afield if you don’t have to drive home again the same day. As more and more of us rediscover the virtues of 'make do and mend', a new website called eSpares.co.uk should help consumers save significant amounts of money by repairing rather than replacing household and garden applicances. More than 90% of what it sells simply snaps, clicks or screws into place and the website also provides handy step-by-step videos to help with the job. Not only do you save the cost of expensive call-out charges, you also have the satisfaction of fixing something yourself. And, of course, it's a much greener alternative to repair than to throw away. More than 350,000 parts and accessories are listed online from more than 500 of the world's largest manufacturers.
Eat for half the price at Zizzi
Off to lunch with friends? Don't leave the house before you have checked out the latest restaurant offers. At Zizzi for example, you can get 50% off all main courses.
