SHARE DEALING

Saga Share Direct, provided by Barclays Stockbrokers, allows you to buy and sell shares, gilts, bonds, funds and other financial securities.

To do this you will need to open a Saga Share Direct account, which will allow you to trade online or over the phone (depending on the type of account you choose). It’s really easy to open an account and will only take a few minutes of your time – simply phone the number shown above and speak to one of Saga Share Direct’s friendly agents who will talk you through the process.

Your account options

There are two accounts you can choose from:

Trading Account

This is a nominee dealing and portfolio administration account, which you can open over the phone today. This account allows you to buy and sell investments online and by phone, and the investments are held on your behalf by Barclays Stockbrokers.

Nominee Account – this is where you nominate a broker to hold your shares and investments for you, electronically. This will enable you to be able to trade quickly and easily online or over the phone.

Self Select Stocks and Shares ISA

Saga Share Direct offers you access to a Self Select Stocks & Shares ISA (Individual Savings Account). This type of account operates in very much the same way as a Trading Account, but with added tax benefits.^†
