Motorists in the South East are half as likely to be the victims of car theft
24% more incidences of windscreen damage in the region
Research from Saga Motor Insurance today reveals the regional differences between motor insurance claims in the UK.* Analysis of its claims statistics have revealed that car owners in the south east of England are almost half as likely to have their vehicle stolen than the UK average. Motorists will also be pleased to hear that the number of claims for personal belongings stolen from inside vehicles is 38% lower than average.
On a less positive note, the statistics show that there are 24% more claims for windscreen damage in the South East, suggesting that there are a lot of loose stones on the road. The region also has marginally more accident claims than the rest of the UK, however these do tend to be slightly less costly than other regions.
