Calls to international destinations on Christmas Day are set to increase six-fold this year**, according to statistics from Saga Telephone Service. In addition, there are likely to be ten times the number of calls to Australia than on any other day during the year. It seems the very thought of Christmas makes us want to pick up the phone - the figures for last December show a 25% increase in the overall number of overseas calls, as people send Christmas greeting to family and friends living abroad.
