Saga Rose and Saga Ruby will again be visiting Falmouth as part of their 2006 cruise season. The sister ships, owned and operated by Saga, specialists in travel for people aged 50 and over, have both visited Falmouth in 2005, with Saga Rose being in port today.
Captain Philip Rentell, said: "As a Cornishman myself, I am very pleased to bring one of Saga’s ships into Falmouth. We have been given a warm welcome here and it's wonderful that we are able to offer our customers the opportunity to visit this beautiful county. In her second season under Saga colours, several new itineraries will be added to Saga Ruby’s calendar. The Canals and Capital Cities and the Christmas in the Holy Land cruises both see the ship visiting new destinations, including Ymuiden for Amsterdam and Haifa for Jerusalem.
Saga Rose will visit Haifa and the ancient treasures of Libya, alongside perennial favourites such as the Baltic and Norwegian fjords. Visits into the Arctic Circle promise iceberg and polar bear spotting opportunities.

Starting in Dover Saga Ruby heads for St Petersburg, passing through the beautiful city of Stockholm, and Finland’s first city, Helsinki.
