Saga Holidays goes on a Baltic Adventure to celebrate state visit
Leading over 50s tour operator Saga Holidays is offering the opportunity to experience an enchanting stay in the Baltic countries to mark the Queen's first ever State visit to the region.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will travel to Latvia and Estonia in October this year for the first time in Her Majesty's reign.
To celebrate the occasion, Saga is offering guests a chance to discover the exceptional beauty and experience the traditions and cultures on its Baltic Adventure tour.
Highlights of the holiday include sightseeing tours of capital cities including Tallinn and Riga and the chance to visit the stunning Rundale Palace - designed by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who also designed the Winter Palace in St Petersburg.
Also on the itinerary for the 8-night holiday is a visit to the beautiful National Park Lahemaa and a stopover in the Latvian university town of Tartu.
Prices for the trip start from 859 for departures on September 4 and 18 2006. The price includes all breakfasts and five dinners, 5 included excursions, return flights, and airport taxes and charges.
Andrew Goodsell Chief Executive of Saga said: " This fascinating trip will give our guests a royal treat - the opportunity to experience the region's highlights before Her Majesty's visit."
