TV series inspires bookings of the Isles of Scilly
A popular BBC TV series about life on the Isles of Scilly is inspiring people to pick up the phone and book a holiday on the remote islands.
The Atlantic Hotel has seen a huge increase in enquiries about spending a holiday on the Isles of Scilly since the BBC began screening the documentary An Island Parish.
Saga offers a superb six-night stay at the award-winning Atlantic Hotel - which has been extensively featured in the series - throughout 2007 with prices starting from 659 per person. Saga also has a couple of departures reserved exclusively for single travellers.
The 25-bedroom Atlantic Hotel is located centrally in Hugh Town on St Mary's, the largest of the islands overlooking St Mary's Harbour.
Three excursions are included on the four-night holiday: a trip to Tresco Abbey Gardens, a visit to St Agnes, and a half day tour of St Mary's. For people booking a five or six-night holiday, a full-day trip to St Martins is also included.
