If music is the food of love then the Havana International Jazz Festival is probably the most passionate, gastronomic feast that money can buy.

Starting on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2008, the day of love, the festival is being offered as part of a fourteen-night holiday with Saga aimed at those looking to immerse themselves in the culture and rhythms of Cuba whilst enjoying the Caribbean climate.

The two-centre holiday starts in Havana where the tour is based for six nights at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba. This art deco gem has played host to many legendary visitors including Frank Sinatra, Errol Flynn and Clark Gable and immediately transports guests into the authentic Havana experience with its old world atmosphere. Located on the seafront of Havana the hotel plays host to many of the festival performances so is the ideal venue for those looking for charm, character and convenience.

On day two, after a day of acclimatising and sightseeing in Havana, the opening of the festival takes place at the Karl Marx Theatre. The next three days are spent enjoying day and evening performances from international musicians located around Havana before the closing event of the festival, usually led by the renowned Cuban musician Chucho Valdes.

Day six is spent relaxing after all that foot tapping or, for the energetic, a visit to the Jurassic Vinales Valley is an option enabling people to see the stunning flora and fauna of this mountainous region.

On day seven the tour transfers to the golden beaches of Cuba's most popular resort, Varadero. The tour is based at the Melia Varadero hotel on an all-inclusive basis and guests can enjoy the swimming pools, selection of restaurants including the barbecue, seafood grill and Cuban restaurant and the 18-hole golf course situated nearby.

The price for the 14-night* tour is 1699 per person, departing 13 February 2008 including returned scheduled flights from Gatwick to Havana with Cubana, half board at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba and all-inclusive accommodation at the Melia Varadero, one lunch is included during the city tour of Havana at a local restaurant. Entrance to all the festival events and insurance and cancellation cover is also included.
