Saga Independent Living is launching a service for Maidstone and the surrounding area designed to assist people to live in their own homes for longer.
The new service ranges from personal care services such as help with dressing, bathing or reading to people with poor eyesight, through to help with domestic services such as shopping, cleaning, preparation of meals.
The launch of Saga Independent Living in Maidstone will offer high standards and carefully selected and vetted staff. This is a service that will be wholly run and managed by Saga.
This launch of the service covering Maidstone and surrounding villages follows a highly successful trial of the service in Folkestone and Canterbury. Over the last year we have grown the service by well over 150% .
Roger Ramsden, chief executive, Saga Services said:
"Saga has unique experience and insight into the needs of people as they grow older and the standards of service they expect. We know there is strong demand for a quality service from a brand that people can trust. Many clients who have come to us complain about the lack of attention to their individual needs and the lack of continuity in the people who are sent to provide care, particularly from hard-pressed agency staff working on social service contracts."
Saga is also seeking applications from people to become fully qualified carers. The job offers flexibility to work around children or for those studying for a nursing qualification and full training is given. Call 01303 771 717 for an application form.
