Saga pledges support to help local authorities deliver on personal budgets for social care
“At Saga we support the need for high quality personalised care. The growth of giving individual people their own budgets to spend on social care is important as customers then have choice. Our customers tell us that this is the approach they want, said Roger Ramsden, Chief Executive of Saga."
“Personal budgets are designed to give people who use social care, and their carers, more choice and control over how their services are provided, with the money to pay for care provided directly to the user, or held and used on their behalf by a council or private care firm”.
“We appreciate that these are challenging times for Local Authorities and as a significant provider of care we are more than happy to work with them to assist in making personalisation work” said Roger Ramsden.
