A WHITE CHRISTMAS – WE CAN'T GUARANTEE. SOMEONE TO HELP IN A HOME EMERGENCY – NOW THAT WE CAN DO!

Research from Saga reveals that more than half* the UK’s over 50s are set to host Christmas at their home this year and it will be a very cool yule if the boiler breaks down in the run up to the big day.  Saga’s new Home Response cover offers year-round peace of mind for boiler and central heating problems, 24 hours a day, every single day of the year – even on Christmas day!

Last year** saw the coldest Christmas Day on record hitting families across Britain with a spate of central heating and boiler breakdowns.  After an unseasonably mild November, temperatures across the UK are predicted to plummet over the coming weeks and the image of the whole family huddled under duvets facing ‘cold turkey’ on the busiest day of the year is not a one that most families dream of!

To help homeowners protect themselves against these unexpected disasters over Christmas, Saga is offering its Home Response insurance to the nation’s over 50s for as little as 23p per day with work and repairs guaranteed by fully vetted tradespeople.

Roger Ramsden, Chief Executive of Saga Services, comments: “Our research shows that more than half of the nation’s over 50s are expecting to be generous and host friends and family for Christmas celebrations at their home this year.  Saga can help them prepare for their parties and celebrations with the peace of mind that comes with knowing that help is just a ‘phone call away’ – on Christmas Day, or indeed on any other day of the year. ”
