SAGA WELCOMES GOVERNMENT RESPONSE ON COST OF MOTOR INSURANCE FOLLOW UP REPORT

Friday 20 April 2012

Commenting on the Government's response to the transport committee's cost of motor insurance follow up report, Paul Green, head of communications for Saga said:

"The rising tide of insurance fraud - whether that be staged accidents, bogus personal injury claims or simply inflated claims for loss or injury fanned by adverts for personal accident lawyers have imposed a severe cost for the honest British motorist and also cost our public services a huge amount.

At a time when common sense has become an uncommon currency Saga welcomes the interest of Parliament and Government in wanting to stamp out the fraud and the collective madness that personal injury claims advertising had created within society."
