Sales of Saga’s exotic destinations have gone through the roof during 2012.  Holiday bookings to the idyllic island of Mauritius have increased four-fold, and Cuba has become a best seller, with customers dancing the Rumba in Havana and swimming with dolphins in warm, crystal clear waters.
Well-known as cultural explorers, Saga clients have also been booking in-depth tours of China, Thailand and Vietnam. All these tours have carried many more passengers in 2012, than the previous year, despite the economic climate. These great value tours include Saga’s VIP Door-to-Door travel service and excursions to the very heart of a destination, providing a unique insight into local life.

Susan Hooper, Saga Travel’s Chief Executive said: "We are continuing to see significant shifts in what our customers are looking for. Over recent years we have been consciously developing our Travellers World holiday programme in response to these changing needs. Today’s 50 plus travellers are clearly looking for exciting destinations that offer the chance of experiencing something out of the ordinary. It’s great, and we see no signs of this demand abating."
