Commenting on the news that the NHS are about to issue a report monitoring NHS standards and outcomes, Roger Ramsden, Chief Executive of Saga Services says:

“Our research among the over 50s, the biggest users of the NHS shows that of those who have been to an NHS hospital over the last 12 months, their biggest concerns are not about the quality of treatment received but about cleanliness of hospitals and communication with medical staff – one in five over 50s reported these as issues with the hospital they were treated in.”
