Saga awarded Which? Recommended Cruise Provider status
In a recent poll of cruise customers compiled by Which? Saga has been awarded Recommended Cruise Provider status.
Sailing on a cruise is now a top choice for travellers wanting to explore the world in comfortable accommodation and take in different sights every day. The results of the Which? survey follow a recent economic study commissioned by the over-50s specialists which show the over-55s play a significant role in supporting the UK cruise industry. Some 66% of cruise passengers in the UK were aged 55 or over in 2013, amounting to 1.1 million passengers.
Andrew Strong, chief executive of Saga Travel, said:
“Cruising is now more popular than ever before and we are very proud to have featured so highly as a result of the Which? poll. We know that today’s over-50s enjoy taking in new surroundings and locations but with the convenience of having a home away from home to return to before sailing off to the next destination. We are particularly pleased to have been given a five star rating for our food and four stars in all other categories. To be recognised by Which? members and awarded their recommended cruise provider status shows that we have the mix just right.”
