Saga comments in response to delays at Gatwick airportMonday 28 July 2014
Gatwick airport is under close scrutiny following the debacle surrounding baggage reclaim over the weekend.
Andrew Strong, Chief Executive, Saga Travel says:
"The situation at Gatwick Airport highlights an important issue. In March this year, we asked over 10,000 people what frustrated them most - and unsurprisingly baggage reclaim was one of the top issues with over half of them saying they didn't enjoy the process.
Our study also showed that, out of 20 airports that were rated best to worst, Gatwick came 16th out of 20. It shows there is a considerable amount of work for Gatwick operations to do before people start to change their opinion of the airport."
