Saga combines all-inclusive safari adventure and beach holiday

A Last Great Wilderness is an adventure tour which enables guests to get up close to Zambia’s incredible wildlife and, after all the excitement, offers a relaxation at a beachside retreat.

Spend seven nights at the South Luangwa National Park, a pristine African wilderness promising a memorable safari experience, with seven game drives and an option to join a walking safari.

Look out for the Thornicroft giraffe, which is unique to Zambia, as well as many exotic birds. There will be an opportunity to visit a local community and an expert guide will offer fascinating talks and stargazing sessions.

Travel in a small group of like-minded guests on this all-inclusive holiday, staying at the 10-suite Sanctuary Chichele Presidential Lodge. It was originally built for the former Zambian president and retains an elegant colonial style.

Take a light aircraft flight to Lilongwe and stay at the Makokola Retreat beside Lake Malawi for three nights. It is a perfect place to unwind after safari adventures guests can choose to laze on the golden sands under palm trees or swim and snorkel.

For those who can’t get enough of the wildlife, they can feed the fish eagles or take an optional excursion to Liwonde National Park to see hippos in the Shire River.

12 nights from £3099, with departures in April, June, September, October and November (two nights are spent aboard an aircraft).

Price includes VIP door-to-door chauffeur service, return flights and transfers, accommodation, full board, 12-hour free bar, porterage, tour manager, travel insurance and cancellation cover.
