Visits include Doñana National Park, a designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is Spain’s most important wintering area for waterfowl. The marshes, streams and dunes are home to many threatened species including the Adalbert's eagle, marbled teal and white-headed duck. Rare black vulture and red kites may also be seen, as well as breeding colonies of herons, egrets and waders.
