Discover the Jewels of Cyprus on Saga's sparkling new three-centre tour
Embrace the history, culture and coastal beauty of Cyprus on Saga’s new three-centre holiday where all meals, a 12-hour bar and seven tours are included in the price!
Guests on the 10-night escorted tour can relax in four-star beachfront hotels in Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos to make the most of exploring the charming island.
Fly to the southern Cyprus to spend three nights at the Princess Beach Hotel in Larnaca and start the holiday by relaxing by the pool or exploring the attractive waterfront. Stroll along the tree-lined promenade or take a tour to the salt lake which is home to flamingo colonies.
Spend a leisurely few hours in the Kokkina Horia, the red soil villages, and drive through the 'ghost town' of Famagusta, which has been deserted for 40 years. Head to Ayia Napa, a high-energy nightspot but a place of daytime tranquillity with a quaint fishing harbour and monastery.
The tour continues with a day in Nicosia before driving along the coast to Elias Beach Hotel, in Limassol. Choose to chill out or get a taste of Cyprus by visiting the carob museum to sample carob toffee, known as pastelli, and travel to an olive park to see how olive oil is extracted and bottled. There will also be an optional tour to the Troodos Mountains.
Head to Paphos and journey through the citrus plantations of Phassouri and pause at Aphrodite's Rock where, according to legend, Aphrodite emerged from the foaming waves. There will also be time to look around the village of Geroskipou which is famous for making delicious Cyprus delights and coconut slices.
View the Tombs of the Kings, the Pillar of St Paul and Paphos Harbour and admire the pavement mosaics of the House of Dionysus before travelling to the Cypria Resort for a three-night stay. Enjoy palm-dotted gardens and views across the ocean, go snorkelling in the turquoise sea or swim in the hotel’s lagoon-style pool which has a swim-up bar for in-water cocktails.
Round-up the holiday with a tour to Polis, overlooking Chrysochou Bay and the charming fishing village of Latchi, and visit the Baths of Aphrodite – a picturesque rock pool where Aphrodite and Adonis are said to have bathed.
10 nights from £899 departing Heathrow from November 2014 to April 2015. Extend the holiday for a further week at the Cypria Resort, price £1349. Price includes return flights and transfers, all-inclusive accommodation, 12-hour free bar, seven tours, porterage, Saga tour manager, welcome cocktail party, travel insurance and cancellation cover.
