Sail from Piraeus around the Cyclades and the Dodecanese archipelago and wake up on the first morning in Ios for a morning swim off Manganari Beach, one of the loveliest in Greece.
Next stop is Santorini to spend a day at leisure on nearby beaches or visit the island harbour capital of Scala. There will also be an optional excursion to Akrotiri, a preserved city buried by a volcanic eruption in in 1,600BC.
Panorama II will moor in Patmos overnight and guests can join an optional excursion to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Dodecanese village of Chora for a walk to the hilltop Monastery of St John and the Holy Grotto of the Apocalypse, where St John heard the voice of God and from whose words wrote the Book of Revelations.
Sail on to Kusadasi in Turkey and after lunch sail again to the island of Samos, birthplace of Pythagoras.
Overnight, Panorama II will make her way to Delos where guests can take optional excursion to the greatest archaeological site in the Aegean – Ephesus. There will also be a guided tour of Ancient Delos, a glorious mass of statues, temples, mosaics and ruins.
The chic island of Mykonos awaits, where Panorama II will moor overnight to offer of plenty of time for guests to shop, stroll and sip ouzo in a harbour-side tavern!
Depart for the island of Tinos, favoured by the Greeks for their vacations. Wander at leisure or take a tour of villages Exovergo and Volax.
Before returning to Piraeus, sail to Kythnos for a ‘swim stop’. In the afternoon sail to Cape Sounion for cocktails and dinner beside the Temple of Poseidon, where mythological King Aegeus is said to have leapt to his death believing his son had been killed by the minotaur.
