Saga comments on dash for foreign cashTuesday 14 July 2015
Research by Travelex shows that the 14 July is the busiest day to exchange foreign money as people order their currency in time for the school holidays.
Saga comments on dash for foreign cash
Paul Green, director of communications at Saga, said: “Those rushing around to get their travel money just a couple of weeks before their summer holiday should take a leaf out of the over 50s book and plan in advance to help make their spending money go further.
“In a recent survey of 10,000 Saga customers three fifths say they watch the exchange rate and stock up on their foreign cash when they know they will get a good rate. As well as giving people more money to spend in nice restaurants so they can try the local cuisine, it also gives them more cash to buy their children or grandchildren souvenirs.”
