What does WI mean on 2016 Saga cruises?
From April 2016, all Saga cruises will include table wine or soft drinks at lunch and dinner, adding to the already comprehensive list of extras that Saga includes in the holiday price - UK travel service to and from the home port, wi-fi, all onboard gratuities, optional travel insurance, tea and coffee, room service, porterage, daily afternoon tea, welcome cocktail party, on board activities, lectures, entertainment and a shuttle bus service into town from each port, whenever possible.
Three 2016 cruises will offer Women’s Institute members an additional saving on sailings plus there will be an exclusive lecture from a Denman College tutor, a gift package and a WI cocktail party. The three cruises are:
Flavours of France and Spain
Saga Pearl II’s new 14-night cruise has a Food and Wine theme so guests can savour the regional cuisine of the Basque Country. There will be a celebrity chef on board presenting cookery demonstrations and there will be wine tasting sessions including Spanish Rioja as well as wines from Bordeaux and the Loire.

Ice, Fire and Fjords
TV wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan will be on board this sailing to Iceland, a volcanic land of mountains, waterfalls and glaciers. ORCA, the whale and dolphin conservation charity, will offer deck-side marine observations and there will be opportunities to go whale watching and look for birdlife. Saga Sapphire will also make a maiden port of call to Djupivogur.

Best of the Baltic
Saga Sapphire will sail through the Kiel Canal on this new 15-night sailing from Dover. There will be overnight stays in Stockholm and St Petersburg to allow guests time to discover much more of these fascinating cities. There will also be a full day in Tallinn, where the fairy-tale skyline of towers and spires will add a sense of magic to this wonderful voyage.
