Saga’s Thanet contact centre was chosen to take calls on Friday 13th November Fundraising throughout the business raised a staggering £23,408

Saga chosen as an official Children in Need Call Centre for 2015!

Saga’s Contact Centre in Thanet was delighted to be selected as an official call centre for Children in need last Friday 13th November.

The team from across the business ensured we had 100 phone lines permanently manned to take donations from members of the public. The call centre was transformed into Pudsey’s paradise with games, food and frolics to entertain the hundreds of staff who were volunteered on the night. Great fun was had by all.

The evening followed a week of fundraising events for the charity by Saga Management and staff across all of the Saga sites.

Counting on the Friday evening revealed that £21,500 had been raised, however with money flowing in over the following few days a staggering total of £23,408 was raised for the charity.

Saga’s director of communications Paul Green said:

“We were extremely excited to have been selected as an official call centre for such a worthwhile cause. Not only did our teams go all out to take as many calls as possible on the night, they also threw themselves into raising as much money as possible for this fantastic fundraising for Children in Need.”

Saga’s selection as a call centre came on the back of successfully providing call centre support for Comic Relief in February at its Hastings site.
