“Customers said they wanted adventure – that’s all the encouragement I needed”

Saga has released its latest Worldwide 2016 brochure with new adventure holidays to meet demand from passengers. The company’s expert holiday creators have risen to the challenge in exciting destinations and they have shared their inspiration for each bespoke holiday. Here is a taster:

Africa’s Southern Soul is a four-wheel drive truck adventure visiting South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Highlights on the 25-night tour include game drives, canoeing in the Okavango Delta and viewing the Victoria Falls. Guests can relax by staying in comfortable lodges along the way.

“I know our guests love new experiences which is why I have organised stays in 14 different places”
Saga holiday creator Stuart Douglass-Lee

Secrets of the Maya starts in the heights of Mexico City and Guatemala's towering Sierra Madre, passing through the jungle and exploring ancient cities to reveal the Mayans’ cultural legacy.
A seven-night beach extension allows guests to enjoy a change of pace at the end of this unique tour.

“Last year I received letters from customers saying ‘we grew up in the 1960s and we’re ready for anything!’ - that’s all the encouragement I needed”
Saga holiday creator Kathy Vigolo

East Coast Discovery is a new US tour which absorbs the energy of New York through to the eerie atmosphere of Salem, famous for the witch trials of 1692. Washington DC and Boston are also the itinerary and a surprise awaits …

“In Philadelphia I came across something quite special. I won’t say too much as I want our guests to have the same experience as I did”
Saga holiday creator Chris Parker

On the Trail of Giants takes guests to Zimbabwe where time will be split between game drives and nature walks while staying in three ultra-comfortable lodges in idyllic settings.

“I know this holiday is going to be a hit - the Zambezi is one of the world’s most beautiful rivers and if guests are lucky they will see otters and fish eagles”
Saga holiday creator Stuart Douglass-Lee
