In the Kasigau region, around 35km from the main highway that borders Tsavo East National Park is the Kisimenyi Primary School.
Serving 550 pupils the school is currently in a woeful state and is chronically under resourced with just nine classrooms and two toilets for the whole school.
However, help is at hand as African Promise, a charity set up by a young Englishman, has committed to build a brand new school for Kisimenyi.
African Promise has been very effective in delivering high quality, sustainable facilities to other schools in the Kasigau region, and although this is their most ambitious plan to date, the project has been very carefully planned and will undoubtedly have a tangible and sustainable impact on education in the area.
The Saga Charitable Trust is proud to be funding a fully stocked library building for the new school and we look forward to updating you on progress.
