Hoi An Centre For Street Children
This Centre for Street Children in the resort town of Hoi An was established by a local woman, Mrs Diep, who is now in her 70's.
With her own children grown up, she was desperately concerned about those left to fend for themselves. The centre now cares for around 30 orphaned and homeless children in a happy home environment.
The children attend local schools for their formal education, but receive vocational training and English lessons at the centre, taught by local volunteers. The Saga Charitable Trust has been happy to support Mrs Diep with the provison of uniforms and healthcare for the children.
