Mukuni Clinic
Near the town of Livingstone and the thunderous Victoria Falls, lies the rural village of Mukuni, which is also the residence of the local chief.
The simple clinic here serves around 8000 people from Mukuni and surrounding villages, providing much-needed medical care, in an area where malaria and HIV/Aids are rife.
The Trust has provided equipment for the health centre as well as the new maternity clinic through local charity 'the Butterfly Tree' and is now funding testing kits for malaria and syphilis (the latter for for pregnant women), which will in turn result in earlier treatment and hopefully, less fatalities from these diseases.
