Mukuni Clinic
Near the town of Livingstone and the thunderous Victoria Falls, lies the rural village of Mukuni, which is also the residence of the local chief.
The simple clinic here serves around 8000 people from Mukuni and surrounding villages, providing much-needed medical care, in an area where malaria and HIV/Aids are rife.
The Trust has helped provide basic equipment for the clinic and is now, through local charity ‘the Butterfly Tree’ providing additional testing kits for malaria and syphilis (for pregnant women), which will in turn result in earlier treatment and hopefully, less fatalities from these diseases.
