Welcome to The National Trust's new programme of cruises operated for us by Saga.

Our exclusive National Trust holidays and cruises have been created especially for The National Trust. The itineraries and themes have been chosen for their appeal to supporters, and guest speakers and specialist lecturers have been chosen for their expert knowledge on the subject. All other holidays in the collection have been selected from Saga’s own portfolio of holidays and will feature a mix of both Saga holidaymakers and National Trust supporters.

Our ever popular exclusive cruises specially tailored to appeal to members and supporters of the Trust are again on the Spirit of Adventure - a small ship carrying a maximum of 352 passengers and with a truly friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This year we'll be celebrating the beauty and majesty of the Norwegian Fjords as well as learning more about their flora and fauna from our on-board experts on a week's cruise in July. Whilst for lovers of classical music there is an outstanding opportunity to enjoy on board performances from internationally known musicians as the Spirit of Adventure cruises through the heart of the Baltic.

The National Trust's programme of escorted tours for will this year visit Malta to discover the island's wonderful artistic treasures, the southern coast of Spain to explore glorious sub-tropical gardens and Italy to enjoy and learn about the gastronomic delights of three different regions.

Saga will donate 8% of the purchase price for each holiday included in The National Trust Holiday Collection to the Trust. This is expected to be over £180,000 in 2009. This does not mean that you pay anymore than the normal brochure price for your holiday. All holidays are operated by Saga, a National Trust selected partner, as part of The National Trust Holiday Collection. In addition a £10 environmental contribution is included in the cost of each exclusive cruise, and is an optional payment on other cruises, and these contributions go directly to a Trust moorland restoration scheme in the Peak District.
