Hire Car Excess Waiver Insurance
Please be aware that from 4th August 2020, Hire Car Excess Waiver Insurance will no longer be offered as an additional cover option. Cover will continue for existing customers until their next renewal (annual cover) or until their policy has expired (single trip).
Our optional Hire Car Excess Waiver Insurance protects you against the high prices many hire companies can charge if your car is accidentally damaged. It also provides extra cover for many eventualities, leaving you free to enjoy your holiday.
Saga Hire Car Excess Waiver Insurance benefits
This optional cover means that you can have protection in place before you go, and don’t have to negotiate or pay the high charges at the desk when you collect the car. What’s more, our cover includes all the following as standard:
- Excess reimbursement up to £4,000 for any single incident or series of incidents during your trip
- Up to £500 for locksmith charges should you lock yourself out of the vehicle
- Drop-off charges up to £500 if you return the vehicle late due to an accident, illness or hospitalisation
- Misfuelling up to £1,000
- Vehicle key replacement up to £500 if the vehicle key is lost or stolen, including replacement locks and locksmith charges.
