A move with less stress

Rod and Gloria Boggis used Churchill’s Home Exchange service when moving to their brand new apartment at King’s Lodge in Maidstone. “The Home Exchange service was like magic!” says Gloria. “The Churchill Sales Executive did a wonderful job arranging everything for us, and held our hands the whole way through, so we were in our new apartment within a couple of months and didn’t need to worry about the hassle of selling our old house.”

“Churchill’s downsizing service was excellent too,” Gloria adds. “They helped us measure up all our furniture so we knew exactly what would fit in our new apartment and what would have to go.”

Since moving in, the couple have been enjoying the social scene at King’s Lodge, taking part in bridge clubs and coffee mornings as and when they feel like it. “We’re all friends here and the Owners’ Lounge is an excellent communal place where we can all meet for a catch up,” says Gloria.

Support and guidance

Elsewhere, Rita Green also used the Home Exchange service for her move to Churchill’s new William Lodge development in the charming Wiltshire town of Malmesbury. She had begun to feel isolated in her bungalow in the country and found the maintenance was too much to handle on her own.

She recalls: “I used Churchill’s Home Exchange Service which was brilliant.  It made the whole process so easy and I didn’t have to worry about dealing with buyers or the sale falling through. The team on site were there whenever I needed support or guidance and to sort out any issues along the way.”

Free removals and downsizing advice

Den and Anne Baldwin moved to a brand new apartment at Sheldon Lodge in Berkhamsted thanks to Churchill’s Home Exchange package, which put them in control and helped them complete their move in a matter of weeks.

Den says: “The Sales Executives were very helpful and explained Churchill’s Home Exchange service, which we decided straight away would be right for us. Within three and a half weeks, we had completed the sale of our old house and moved in to our brand new apartment at Sheldon Lodge. We had a free removals service and specialist downsizing advice to help us decide what furniture to keep and what would have to go. It was so stress free and the Churchill team were very supportive throughout the process.”

Now the couple are enjoying life at Sheldon Lodge and getting involved in the regular social activities with their new friends and neighbours. “It’s very friendly here and has a great atmosphere,” says Ann. “We have regular coffee mornings and other activities in the Owners’ Lounge to join in with when we want to, and we feel very much part of the community here. We also have a wonderful Lodge Manager who looks after the day-to-day running of things, and nothing is too much trouble for her.”
