Thomas Cook ceases trading

Find out how we are supporting our customers who are affected by the collapse of Thomas Cook.

We are extremely sad to hear that Thomas Cook ceased trading overnight. We use Thomas Cook flights for some of our holidays and we are in the process of securing alternatives for our customers who are due to travel imminently.

Once these are secured, we will work to secure alternatives for those who are booked to travel in the future.

In contact with customers

We have started contacting those customers who are due to travel on a Thomas Cook flight in the near future to discuss alternative options. We have well-proven processes in place to ensure our customers are taken care of, these will ensure that the repatriation of passengers due to return to the UK runs smoothly. Our reps in resort are keeping guests updated on alternative travel plans for their return home so that they can continue to enjoy the rest of their holiday.

Saga Cruises or Holidays booked through Thomas Cook are protected

Customers who have booked a Saga Cruise or Holiday through Thomas Cook should not be concerned as these bookings are protected and will continue directly with us. Our stand-alone travel insurance policy includes ‘End Supplier Failure’ as standard. Customers with Saga Insurance who have purchased flights only with Thomas Cook can be reassured that this is covered.
