Following a highly successful trial across East Kent, Saga Independent Living is about to extend it’s high quality domiciliary care service across West Kent, bringing improved standards of care to those that need it and creating hundreds of new jobs in the county.
Saga Independent Living (SIL) helps people to live in their own homes rather than move into residential care. As people would expect from a trusted brand like Saga, the service offers high quality care, providing the same level of attention to clients’ needs as they would expect from their family. Saga tailors care to the individual and, unlike many other providers, it guarantees its carers will spend the full amount of time with a customer, for Saga an hour’s care means exactly that, an hours care – not 40 minutes and 20 minutes traveling time.
The service includes everything required to support people in their own homes including personal care, through to help with domestic chores such as shopping, cleaning and preparation of meals. All provided by carefully selected, trained and vetted staff.
The expansion of SIL brings with it career opportunities for hundreds of people in West Kent. For those that believe in caring for people properly and giving people dignity and privacy there is also an opportunity for career progression. Many of the staff currently working in head office, began as carers with the company. Staff receive a full classroom and practical induction that exceeds the regulatory requirements for the sector.
Roger Ramsden, chief executive, Saga Services said:
“Saga has unique experience and insight into the needs of people as they grow older and the standards of service they and their relatives expect. We know there is strong demand for a quality service from a brand that people can trust”.
Saga is also seeking applications from people to become fully qualified carers. If you are interested in a career with Saga Independent Living please call 01303 771 717 for an application form.
