Are you ready for Cowboys, Blues and All That Jazz?

Discover the unique identities of Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana on Saga’s new 13-night Cowboys, Blues and All That Jazz tour of the southern states of America.

Watch cowboys driving cattle across the plains, listen to blues music in smoky bars and the feel the rhythms of New Orleans jazz. First stop Dallas, to tour the city and West End downtown, where John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963.

Head to the city of Graham and the Wildcatter Ranch for a two-night stay. This working Texan ranch embraces the colourful history of 19th century pioneers when cattle drivers, outlaws and Native Americans roamed the land. Saga guests can upgrade to a luxury cabin suite, complete with rock fireplace, rocking chairs on the porch and outstanding views*.

Watch the cowboys’ horsemanship and in the evening join them for a barbecue dinner, listening to Texas Country Music around a campfire.  In the morning move on to historic Stockyards to see the daily cattle drive and watch an evening rodeo show at the Cowtown Coliseum.

Arkansas and Little Rock are the next stop with a pause at Hot Springs National Park – the States' oldest federal reserve.

Visit the William J Clinton Presidential Library and Museum before travelling to Tennessee and the city of Memphis, home of blues and rock 'n' roll. Head to Beale Street, where there are a number of clubs and restaurants to savour blues music.

Visit Elvis's home Graceland and learn how 'The King' lived during a tour of the mansion. Don’t miss the Jungle Room and the collection of extravagant outfits Elvis wore on stage.

Head into the state of Mississippi and travel to Vicksburg via Clarksdale – an important city in the blues music legacy. On arrival in Vicksburg there will be a visit to the Vicksburg National Military Park.

Travel south into Louisiana and the city of New Orleans to tour the historic French Quarter and Jackson Square.

Spend the day at leisure in the ‘Big Easy' - perhaps hop on the St Charles streetcar or stroll along the charming streets before stepping on board a traditional paddle steamer for a jazz-themed cruise, with dinner, along the Mississippi.

Houston is the last but not least destination on this busy escorted tour so enjoy some sightseeing and visit the NASA Space Center before flying back to the UK.
