Celebrate Italian-style in the snowy Dolomites
It's not too late to book a Christmas holiday
Spend Christmas in a winter-wonderland mountain setting, staying in a cosy chalet-style hotel beside Lake Molveno in the Italian Dolomites.
Guests always receive a warm welcome at the family run three-star Hotel Alle Dolomiti, winner of Saga’s Top Stay and two-rosette Good Food awards, based on previous Saga guests’ votes.
Christmas trees and twinkling lights adorn the 38-bedroom hotel and there will be a welcome drinks reception, followed by dinner, to put everyone in the Christmas mood.
Guests can relax in the hotel, stroll into the village of Molveno or join an included tour to embrace the festive season at the Merano Christmas market.
During your stay you have the option of a visit to Al Montanaro to enjoy lunch while admiring views of the Brenta Dolomites, on Christmas Eve.
In the evening, a traditional Italian fish-based Christmas Eve dinner will be served and later guests who like to attend Midnight Mass can stroll to the local church and on return will be welcomed with a warming glass of mulled wine.
Christmas morning will be spent at leisure and after an Italian style Christmas lunch at the hotel, guests can relax, take a lakeside stroll or join activities organised by the Saga representative.
On Boxing Day perhaps take a horse-drawn wheeled carriage ride, to enjoy the shimmering winter scenery and visit the Andalo Equestrian Centre.
On your final day there will be an included tour to the beautiful university city of Trento where the old city’s late-medieval and renaissance buildings have been restored to their original pastel colours.
Guests stay on a half-board basis and each room has a balcony to make the most of the stunning mountain scenery.
