Sail on two ships during new all-inclusive North to South river cruise from Amsterdam to Avignon

This unique two-part cruise includes an overnight mooring in Amsterdam so guests can visit galleries and museums or take optional tours to the city of Haarlem or relax on an evening riverboat cruise through the Old Town.

MS Monet sails on along the romantic Rhine, greeting the Dutch towns of Nijmegen and Arnhem before crossing the border into Germany with a stop in the Hanseatic town of Wesel and an optional tour of spa town Aachen.

The ship moors in Dusseldorf ready for an evening of onboard entertainment and in the morning cruises to Cologne for a guided walking tour of the city which is dominated by its Gothic cathedral. MS Monet later cruises to Koblenz where guests can see the famous Deutsches Eck (German Corner).

On the journey to Mainz, there is stunning scenery to enjoy including the Lorelei rock which is celebrated in both song and legend. In Mainz, highlights include a visit to the Gutenberg Museum. The cruise continues to the ancient city of Worms before guests say goodbye to MS Monet and the Rhine in Strasbourg and hello to MS Van Gogh in Chalon-sur-Saône.

On route to the ship guests can enjoy lunch and a stroll in Besançon, a city renowned for its architecture and pretty cobbled streets.

MS Van Gogh arrives in Lyon early the next morning for guests to explore the city or visit the contemporary Musée des Confluences, an unmissable museum at the meeting point of the Rhône and Saône rivers.

After an overnight mooring MS Van Gogh cruises alongside picturesque vineyards on the banks of the Rhône, passing Valence, Montélimar and Viviers before arriving in historic Arles where the artist Van Gogh painted Café Terrace at Night in the Place du Forum.

The cruise ends in Avignon, the capital of Christendom in the Middle Ages, where guests can visit the fortified city and Palace of Popes.
