Treat your loved one to a Valentine's break and immerse yourselves in the "World's Greatest Love Songs"
There’s still time to treat your loved one to a romantic 4 night break at the Queens Hotel in Bournemouth, departing Monday 15th February, 2016.
Celebrate the greatest love songs from the twentieth century with dreamy performances from award-winning singer Robert Habermann, accompanied by BBC pianist Trevor Brown.
On the first night, guests can enjoy dinner and an introductory concert, a compilation of love songs performed by host and singer Robert Habermann, accompanied by Trevor Brown on piano – a taste of what's to come over the next few days!
On day two after a sumptuous breakfast guests can join Trevor and Robert for a morning of piano request music, then, after lunch, watch a classic romantic musical, with tea and cake. In the evening there is entertainment based around the love songs from the 1920s and 1930s from 'It had to be you' to 'The very thought of you'.
Included in the package is an excursion to the fascinating Dorset Museum in Dorchester where exhibits range from fine art, to archaeology, costumes, decorative art, books and photography. In the afternoon guests can enjoy an iconic romantic movie, with delicious tea and cakes. In the evening Robert will perform his third concert featuring love songs from the 1940s and 1950s from 'At Last' to 'That's Amore'.
On the penultimate day guests can spend the morning at leisure and explore Bournemouth. After lunch, hankies will be at the ready for the final film, a heart-wrenching screening, with tea and cake. Dinner will include a farewell show to salute the love songs from the 1960s and later with hits including 'The Good Life', 'Killing Me Softly' and 'Endless Love'.
The price includes 8 meals: 4 breakfasts (B) and 4 dinners (D), four evenings of live music, three afternoon film screenings, a music host and Saga representative, a welcome drink, porterage in your hotel, cancellation rights and an excursion to the Dorset County Museum (half day).
