Saga appoints Collinson Group as new Travel Insurance partnerWednesday 14 February 2018
Saga today announces a new underwriter for its standalone and Saga Holidays optional included travel insurance customers.
Saga prides itself on its comprehensive travel insurance product, which has often led the market in making innovative changes to meet the needs of the modern traveller. Saga was the first to offer cover to customers stranded due to volcanic ash clouds, cover for scheduled airline failure, and cover for laptops when they had to be stored in the hold on certain flights.
Saga insures thousands of travellers each year, including many with wide ranging pre-existing medical conditions and was looking for an underwriter with an appetite to continue this pioneering approach, following a comprehensive review it has selected Collinson as the best fit for the business.
Collinson has over 40 years’ experience in the travel insurance industry and is providing Saga with a full service solution from underwriting through to , claims, assistance and medical screening for optional included travel insurance on Saga Holidays.
